Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative in the electrical market responsible for meeting or exceeding gross margin budgets by selling products in an assigned territory, visiting customer sites, handling customer issues promptly, reporting market conditions and competition, maintaining customer records, participating in trade shows and sales meetings, and demonstrating products after sale. Requires building and maintaining relationships, strong negotiation, independence, and willingness to travel extensively (including overnight). Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years experience preferred
- 4 year degree preferred
- Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to learn our business and to work independently to achieve goals
- Ability to sell and be persuasive
- Extensive travel required, including some overnight travel
- Use of personal vehicle for business purposes
