Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative at Carter Lumber focused on selling our full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will establish and maintain relationships, visit job sites, manage projects after sale, keep customer product-use data, and drive new account growth. Requires proven sales ability, effective communication, the ability to read blueprints and prepare material take-off lists, strong planning/organization, and comfort with Microsoft Office; salary is base plus commission with uncapped earnings.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in sales
- Knowledge of home building basics
- Create material estimates/quotes and special orders
- Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists
- Ability to work independently
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required
