Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative responsible for representing BFS to identify customer needs and develop sales proposals, including collecting specification information from engineers/architects and translating them to internal teams; develops sales contracts for residential, multi-family, and commercial projects; troubleshoots field issues; conducts professional product demonstrations and presentations to current and prospective customers; researches and solicits new customers, drives opportunities through market analysis and competitive insights; collaborates in leadership roles, including training less-experienced staff and potentially acting as Sales Manager in absence of the Sales Manager; maintains ongoing customer communications, prepares reports, and participates in company-sponsored training to expand product/industry knowledge; emphasizes safety, adherence to company procedures, and ability to meet productivity goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing or related field plus two (2) years prior sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Competencies: in-depth knowledge of products/services; ability to present to senior management; proficiency with Office Suite; valid driver’s license; ability to work unsupervised; strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
