Outside Sales Representative

Job Summary
Conduct weekly sales and cold call appointments with key decision makers to secure profitable business for the branch and company. Build and maintain a qualified pipeline by visiting customer facilities, executing video and phone calls, and developing relationships with contacts across purchasing, engineering, and project management departments. Proactively identify opportunities to solve customer problems, provide quotes and job estimates, and collaborate with Operations and Billing to ensure services meet contracted expectations. Network as the primary sales contact within the assigned territory by participating in trade shows, association meetings, and industry events to increase sales. Track and report on activity, target achievement, sales forecasts, and industry trends while adhering to a 7 a.m.-4 p.m. schedule with 50% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales
- Must maintain a current, valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel at least 50%
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Formal sales training
- 3-5 years of experience in sales
- Some experience in B2B outside sales
- Experience in construction, traffic control, infrastructure, or related industries
- Bilingual Spanish
- Strong written and oral presentation and communication skills in English
- Strong customer orientation with demonstrated experience developing strong partnerships by understanding and anticipating business needs of the customer and maintaining customer satisfactions
- Proven track record of growing market share, including using cold calls to establish new accounts
- Proven ability to manage sales and profits against forecasts and targets
- Results-driven, high-energy, resourceful, self-motivated, able to work independently, and has a positive, 'make it work' attitude
- Proficient in using technology such as MS Office, CRM, business-related social media, etc.
- Commitment to adhering to and promoting safe workplace practices
