Job Summary
Outside Sales Rep in United Rentals' Power & HVAC division: drive revenue by renting and selling specialty engineered power supply and climate control solutions, establish new rental accounts via phone and in-person visits, present turnkey services, coordinate with technical staff for site assessments and quotes, educate customers on equipment, follow up on invoices, and report sales activity using Salesforce. Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least 3 years of sales experience; knowledge of construction or related equipment preferred; strong negotiation, presentation, and customer-service skills; ability to size, quote, install, and maintain projects; proficient with MS Office and Salesforce; valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years of sales experience
- Knowledge of construction or related equipment is preferred; however, candidates with comparable industry experience, a strong sales acumen and record of achievement will be considered
- High intellectual abilities to sell complex products and customer solutions
- Equipment troubleshooting skills and diagnostic skills
- Ability to properly size, quote, install and maintain small less complex, and moderately complex projects
- Possess strong negotiation and selling skills, and excellent customer service skills
- Strong presentation and excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Possess knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
- Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency with computer skills and MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
