Job Summary
Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, and entry points, then sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance to residential customers. Collaborate with Customer Service, Inside Sales, and Technicians to identify revenue streams, develop proposals for existing issues, and propose service enhancements. Complete home diagrams in the Sales CRM to ensure clear understanding of customer challenges, follow up on past proposals to close sales, and provide expert knowledge for new service installations. Safely operate a motor vehicle, lift up to 20 lbs, and navigate confined spaces while wearing PPE as needed. Travel 100% within assigned territory, utilizing the company vehicle and gas card provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license from current state of residence
- Ability to move up to 10 lbs regularly and 11–20 lbs frequently
- Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to go up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to keep balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces
- Comfort dealing with different pests (spiders, flies, mosquitos, rodents, etc.)
- Ability to go into small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, attics, etc.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Ability to regularly work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
- Ability to travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory(s)
- Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
- Ability to effectively lead and coach others
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Related experience and/or training in sales
- At least 1-2 years of pest technician or sales experience
