Job Summary
The Outside Sales Engineer - Aftermarket is responsible for maintaining customer relationships and managing service contracts for maintenance, service and repairs across various product lines, including boilers and pumps. Key responsibilities include providing quotes, assessing customer service needs, boiler sizing support, customer billing, and maintaining CRM databases. Candidates need to demonstrate empathy for customer problems, be proactive in solving issues, and possess the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, along with significant experience in aftermarket sales and technical knowledge in heavy equipment, are required for this role.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a Business or technical discipline
- Two years of technical school, community college or trade school
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in aftermarket sales
- Experience in Contracts related to maintenance, Service & repairs, in a heavy equipment and machinery company
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Boiler and Pump sales
- Strong understanding of aftermarket parts distribution for the heavy industrial equipment segment
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong communication, organization, sales, and customer service skills
- Good computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, MS office
