Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service by helping potential customers find power equipment matching their specific needs and budget constraints. Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand their preferences, assist with retail financing, and conduct product demonstrations for tractors, mowers, and UTVs. Manage store stock by ordering power equipment, receiving new inventory, and maintaining displays according to the Outdoor Merchandising Guide. Process special orders, operate the POS register, and resolve return issues while utilizing upselling techniques to maximize sales. Actively listen to concerns, address inquiries promptly, and collect contact information for follow-ups on out-of-stock items or new arrivals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role
- Deep knowledge and passion for agriculture, farm equipment, tools, and home essentials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Results-driven mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions and inventory management systems
- Resilience and a willingness to deal with rejection
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Initiative to devise sales strategies and work under pressure
- Demonstrated behaviors reflecting integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and software
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with others
- Close vision for computer-related activities
- Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack
- Ability to navigate and access all facilities
- Ability to work outdoors in elements such as Heat, Cold, Rain, Snow, Wind depending on your location
