Job Summary
Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with agricultural and household needs, offering expert advice on power equipment, tools, and home essentials. Engage customers to understand their specific requirements, manage the retail financing process, and conduct product demonstrations. Assist with receiving, moving, and displaying inventory while following merchandising guides to maintain store standards. Utilize upselling techniques to maximize sales, process special orders, and operate the POS register. Collect customer contact information for follow-ups and establish long-term relationships to drive repeat business and referrals. Work outdoors in various weather conditions and collaborate with the team to achieve sales targets.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role
- Deep knowledge and passion for agriculture, farm equipment, tools, and home essentials
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Results-driven mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Basic computer skills for point-of-sale transactions and inventory management systems
- Resilience and a willingness to deal with rejection
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Initiative to devise sales strategies and work under pressure
- Demonstrated behaviors reflecting integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and software
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull a minimum of 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively with others
- Close vision for computer-related activities
- Ability to use a ladder and/or pallet jack
- Ability to navigate and access all facilities
