Job Summary
Collaborate with the GM of Sales to set territory growth goals and develop a sales plan. Maintain an active customer and prospect list, conducting in-person meetings with decision makers, engineers, and quality teams to maximize visits and ingrain Steel Tech into customer operations. Prospect new business, solicit quotes, and convert quotations into earned business while improving profitability with existing accounts. Provide market intelligence, develop competitor intel, and construct customer agreements that reduce risk. Address tier 3 escalations regarding sales contracts, inventory, and accounts receivable, ensuring pricing updates are clearly communicated to the Support Team. Maintain records in the CRM and engage in continuous education to become a subject matter expert for the territory. Travel 60-80% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- One to five years of experience in sales
- Formal education may be substituted with experience and training when competency in the position is demonstrated
- Travel required 60-80%
- Ability to prospect and cold call
- Consistent in-person client engagement with timely and strategic outreach
- Professional accountability, both internal and external
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and teammates
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of steel and other flat rolled metal products
- Time management and proactive planning required

Desired Qualifications
- Prefer a Bachelor's degree in a related field and one to five years of experience in sales
