Job Summary
Review, investigate, and document 1st party property claims under close supervision by gathering information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers. Analyze leases, contracts, and by-laws to determine coverage for building damages and establish accurate scopes for written estimates. Maintain records in claim management systems while providing timely communication to internal stakeholders and customers. Actively participate in structured training covering policies, processes, and systems, including virtual, classroom, and on-the-job instruction. Demonstrate openness to continuous learning, particularly in AI and digital transformation, while adapting to new technology implementations and system upgrades. This program is typically 9-12 months, culminating in independent claims handling capability.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
- one year of customer service experience
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions within established authority
