Outside Process Administrator

Job Summary
Create purchase orders to meet outside processing production requirements and manage the approved supplier list for mid-sized AS9100 aerospace company. Negotiate pricing and delivery from a large supplier base while selecting vendors, assessing capabilities, and developing alternate sources. Interface directly with engineering to resolve specification issues and with accounting to address purchase order and invoice discrepancies. Perform daily follow-up and expedition of orders, reporting status to operations team members for morning meetings and providing daily vendor updates. Handle high volume of procurement tasks including paint to mil-spec requirements and sheet metal fabrication sourcing in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge in the procurement of outside processing including paint to mil-spec requirements
- Experience in working with mil-spec requirements
- Five years' experience working in aerospace industry
- Experience procuring outside processing for sheet metal fabrication
- Experience with MRP/ERP packages
- Must be computer literate
- Good communications, negotiating and organizational skills
- capable of handling multiple projects
- High school diploma
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor and coworkers
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving limited variables in manufacturing process
- Ability to provide daily status on those parts assigned to their area
- Daily calls to vendors requesting updates
- providing updated information every day to the operations team in time for the daily morning meeting
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment handling high volume of outside processing purchase orders
- U.S. Persons as defined by U.S. law, i.e., U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents ('Green Card' holders), persons granted refugee status or asylum status in the United States, or temporary residents granted amnesty

- CPM, CSCP, CPIM certification
