Outside Plant Engineer

Job Summary
Assess potential business customers on-site to identify available equipment and duct space for fiber placement, then submit detailed reports with photos. Design engineering work orders for Ethernet, land developments, and special circuit requests using AutoCAD and proprietary applications while acquiring civil permits for local municipalities. Maintain positive interactions with internal and external customers and collaborate with Planning and all departments to ensure high-quality service delivery. This role requires minimal supervision, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel primarily within mid and southern Virginia for physical site surveys.

- Must be willing to travel and support OSP engineering work assignments primarily in mid and south Virginia
- Physical site surveys
- Clean background check
- Clean driving record
- Pass a drug test
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Physically located or relocating to Virginia
Desired Qualifications
- Field engineering and site survey experience
- Previous OSP field and/or design engineering experience
