Job Summary
Outside Parts Salesperson develops and achieves maximum profitable sales volume of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a designated territory. Analyzes customer operations to ascertain future parts, service and truck requirements. Develops and achieves maximum sales volume for assigned accounts focusing on parts and labor sales opportunities. Plans territory coverage; calls upon key accounts regularly; takes orders; introduces new products and promotions; reemphasizes existing products and services and provides literature as necessary. Completes customer call sheets weekly, stating summary of calls made. Controls personal expenses within the approved expense budget and submits weekly expense reports. Promotes all MHC product and service offerings including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier and Finance. Investigates and refers customer complaints to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager. Assists with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory and other tasks as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. SAFETY-SENSITIVE. This position has been designated as a safety-sensitive position.
Required Qualifications
- One-year automotive parts related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience dealing with the public in sales/service capacity.
- Computer skills preferred.
