Outside Parts Sales Rep

Job Summary
Outside Parts Sales Representative responsible for expanding Parts and Service sales and acting as a liaison between the customer, manufacturer and dealership in order to resolve problems and provide superior support for new and existing customers. Visits, develops and maintains relationships with existing customers; identifies and establishes contact with potential new customers; attends industry trade shows to identify potential sales leads; recommends marketing strategies to target a specific region or demographic; generates and submits sales reports to management; communicates parts orders to counter personnel; advises delivery status for non-stock items; coordinates service sales; turns in call reports, time sheets and expense reports; updates customer records; adds new customers to mailing lists; attends training seminars; acts as a public relations liaison; maintains professional appearance; other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- At least three (3) years' experience in automotive/parts counter experience and/or outside parts sales experience and/or service technical support experience
- High school diploma and/or relevant, related training
- MS Office specifically Word or Excel
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record meeting Company driving guidelines
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to professionally interact with internal and external customer
