Job Summary
Install, maintain, and repair ship propulsion and auxiliary systems including steam, gas turbine, and diesel engines, rudders, steering gear, and deck equipment without supervision. Analyze defects in outboard motors, disassemble components using hand tools, and replace parts such as gears, magneto points, piston rings, and spark plugs. Test equipment to ensure systems meet 4E specifications and references, proficient in precision measuring tools and repair drawings. Perform installation and testing of various shop equipment while following assigned tasks. Minimum 5 years of marine or shipyard experience preferred, with Marine Hydraulics or Refrigeration skills a plus. Eligible for U.S. government or military site access clearance required.

- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

- Must be eligible to obtain base access clearance
- Must pass a background check
