Job Summary
Outreach Supervisor (LMSW) leads a Transit Homeless Outreach team, supervising staff and serving as the shift's lead mental health clinician. Responsibilities include conducting assessments for homeless/MICA clients, providing crisis intervention, and making clinical decisions on outreach strategies. Trains Outreach Specialists in the Mental Status Exam, provides individual and group clinical supervision, and ensures emergency first aid/CPR and fire safety certifications. The role supports scheduling flexibility to meet team needs and is embedded within BRC's NYC Transit Homeless Outreach program serving Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Queens. Strong preference for experience with homeless populations, supervisory experience, and bilingual capabilities; requires a valid state license and basic computer literacy. Vaccination is preferred but not required.
