Job Summary
Outreach Specialist responsibilities include conducting community outreach activities to engage the target population through presentations at local organizations (e.g., places of worship and community programs), identifying and marketing new community partners and events, supporting client satisfaction surveys and providing feedback to a multidisciplinary team, assisting participants in accessing community services (housing, medical, vocational, food, clothing) through network development and referrals, accompanying participants to appointments when appropriate, collaborating as part of the Whole Family Health Model, maintaining necessary records, and participating in trainings. Essential skills include building productive relationships with diverse community members, effective oral and written communication, culturally respectful service delivery, independent work, teamwork, and accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years’ experience in outreach and fieldwork in the behavioral health field
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual strongly encouraged
