Job Summary
Oversee and supervise outreach staff on shift, coordinating deployment of teams and referrals, while ensuring safety and data collection/reporting from the field. Work with the Outreach Supervisor to develop outreach approaches and oversee referrals/resources; provide emergency first aid/CPR or overdose-prevention protocol assistance as needed. Role requires coordinating with programs serving homeless/mentally ill/substance-abusing populations, maintaining treatment planning duties, and performing related responsibilities of Outreach Specialists. Requires a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of Associate's with direct outreach experience or High School Diploma with relevant experience) and a valid state driver’s license; CPR certification or willingness to obtain training is needed. Spanish language skills are desirable. The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) based in Manhattan, NY, with a schedule Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7:30am, and includes benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Associate's Degree with at least one year of direct outreach experience with homeless/mentally ill/substance abusing populations
- High School Diploma with at least two years of direct outreach experience with homeless/mentally ill/substance abusing populations
- Valid state driver's license (preferred)
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to speak Spanish desirable
- CPR training certification or willingness to take CPR training
