Job Summary
Outreach Phlebotomist performs routine and special blood specimen collection for patients of all ages in an outreach lab setting; serves as a resource for the team and maintains protocols to ensure a clean, calm, and safe environment for patients; requires a high school diploma or phlebotomy training/experience and may include ASCP-credentialing; role focuses on patient care, venipuncture, and adherence to clinical protocols within an outreach laboratory department.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A diploma from an accredited phlebotomy training institute OR 6 months phlebotomy experience.
- 6 months' experience in a high-volume phlebotomy environment; or successful completion of an academic program which included substantial, practical clinical phlebotomy experience (EX: 3+ week clinical student rotation program in a hospital setting or clinical student rotation with 100 successful venipunctures completed)
- Professional registration: PBT(ASCP)
