Job Summary
Supervise and coach a team of Housing Advocates, Consumer Advocates, and Social Workers while managing overnight staffing schedules to ensure continuous field coverage. Oversee daily outreach operations, triage urgent requests, and lead complex client situations including conflict deescalation, Code Blue/Red responses, and involuntary removals under New York Mental Hygiene Law §9.58. Promote best practices rooted in Housing First, Harm Reduction, and trauma-informed care while ensuring compliance with program contracts, regulatory requirements, and DHS data entry standards. Build collaborative relationships with community partners, government agencies, and law enforcement to address emerging community concerns. Participate in the program's on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker
- 1 year or supervisory experience
- Able to obtain 9.58 credentialing within first 3 months of hire
- Understanding of Housing First
- Understanding of client-centered motivational interviewing
- Understanding of Harm reduction models
- Understanding of behavioral and medical health systems
- Experience with crisis intervention
- Experience with risk assessments
- Experience with incident management
- Excellent scheduling skills
- Valid driver's license from NY, NJ, CT or PA
- Good driving record
- MS Office Suite proficiency
