Job Summary
Establish short-term and long-term goals with Peer Operated Center participants, focusing on employment stabilization to achieve housing and income stability. Maintain daily contact to monitor transitions from non-POC engagement to POC enrollment while assisting individuals with accessing benefits, services, and support for Medicaid, social security, disability, behavioral health treatment, legal assistance, medical care, education, and employment-related needs. Provide identification and transportation support as needed. This role supports the District of Columbia Stabilization Center's mission to offer immediate, low-barrier crisis services for individuals experiencing substance use disorder, ensuring integrated, recovery-oriented care in a supportive clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Degree (or higher) in a field related to Behavioral Health
- 1-3 years of full-time Health Care related work experience where his or her prior experience would provide adequate exposure to both behavioral and medical crisis situations
