Job Summary
Outreach and Navigation Specialist role delivering integrated syringe services, HIV/HCV testing, resources, and systems navigation to people who use drugs in Arizona. Responsibilities include field/mobile/community outreach, distributing safer-use and overdose prevention supplies, conducting HIV/HCV rapid tests with post-test counseling, occasional phlebotomy for reactive participants, providing harm-reduction education, and coordinating referrals and navigation to treatment and support services. Data entry, inventory support, and participation in team trainings are included. Travel up to 50% and a hybrid work arrangement in Tempe, Maricopa County. Requires driver’s license, reliable transportation, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work flexible hours; Spanish language and lived experience with drug use or related communities are encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Drive
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and self-management skills
- Must be self-motivated and creative in problem-solving
- Must embrace the concept of harm reduction and be comfortable engaging with people who use drugs and their families
- Must have a habit of excellent attendance
- Ability to effectively collaborate with others & work in a team setting
- Must hold a valid driver’s license in the State of Arizona
- Must have own reliable transportation
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings & weekends on occasion
