Job Summary
Conduct community outreach and networking activities at locations such as stand-downs, tent cities, bus stations, and shelters to promote the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. Perform initial eligibility screenings for Veterans seeking assistance, provide referrals for those ineligible or unscheduled, and set up client files for assigned Case Managers. Prepare reports as requested by leadership and deliver presentations to community groups across the metropolitan area. Maintain a driver's license and daily vehicle availability while traveling frequently to various community locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years in a customer service focused environment
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance
- Driver's License with clear record
- Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice
- Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with homeless, low income, veterans & their families
- Experience as OIS I
