Job Summary
Conduct community outreach activities including stand-downs, tent cities, bus stations, and shelters to promote the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program. Perform initial eligibility screenings for Veterans seeking assistance and provide referrals to those ineligible or awaiting Case Manager assignment. Set up client files for assigned Veterans and prepare reports for leadership. Maintain regular attendance, hold a valid driver's license, and possess a daily-use vehicle for travel to various locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years in a customer service focused environment
- Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance
- Driver's License with clear record
- Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice
- Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with homeless, low income, veterans & their families
- Experience as OIS I
