Job Summary
Organize, implement, and maintain wellness activities by promoting health promotion programs and representing Kettering Health at community outreach events. Collect testimonials and service recovery potentials, while maintaining communication with coordinators regarding client safety, equipment transport, and event setup. Transport work-related materials to on and off-site locations and actively promote the Years Ahead program. Work varied shifts averaging a minimum of two shifts per month, including evenings and weekends, while lifting 30-50 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- CPR and first aid required
- Minimum Education Associate or bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education or related field required
- If an associate degree only, must additionally have a fitness certification from a nationally recognized organization (like ACSM, NSCA, NASM, etc)
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in community health or social work required
- Experience in planning health promotion programs required
- Required Skills CPR and first aid required
- ACLS and ACSM certification required
- Excellent organization, presentation and communication skills required
- Ability to work varied hours with some evenings and weekends
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Computer skills-Microsoft office expected
- Excellent customer service skills and be able to function in a team-oriented environment
- Communicate effectively with patients/family/significant others of varying ages and cultural backgrounds
- Requires the ability to lift 30-50 pounds as needed
- Must be willing to transport work related materials, in employee's personal vehicle, to on and off-site locations as needed
- Must be available for varied shifts
- Must be available for evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience in community health or social work preferred
- Experience in planning health promotion programs preferred
- Master's degree preferred
- ACLS and ACSM certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
