Job Summary
Supervise and coach a team of Housing Advocates, providing regular performance feedback and fostering accountability while ensuring continuous field coverage through dynamic staffing schedules. Oversee daily outreach operations, triage urgent requests, and develop strategies informed by community needs, DHS priorities, and historical 311 data. Promote best practices rooted in Housing First, Harm Reduction, and trauma-informed care while leading complex client situations, including conflict de-escalation. Build collaborative relationships with government agencies, service providers, and stakeholders to address emerging community concerns. Participate in the program's on-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- NYS Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW)
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Ability to obtain 9.58 credentialing within first 3 months of hire
- Understanding of Housing First
- Understanding of client-centered motivational interviewing
- Understanding of Harm reduction models
- Understanding of behavioral and medical health systems
- Experience with crisis intervention
- Experience with risk assessments
- Experience with incident management
- Proven ability to manage scheduling
- Valid NY, NJ, CT or PA driver's license
- Good driving record
- MS Office Suite proficiency
