Job Summary
Outreach and Admissions Counselor at Glenmont Job Corps Center conducts local outreach activities and admissions procedures to recruit, determine eligibility, and enroll applicants into the Job Corps program. Responsibilities include interviewing and assessing eligibility, informing applicants about program requirements and accommodations, maintaining documentation, coordinating transportation, and building partnerships with centers and community resources. Travel to centers and outreach sites is required. The role emphasizes mentoring, developing outreach programs, and ensuring students’ successful arrival and enrollment, while upholding the organization’s core values and equal opportunity guidelines. Required qualifications include a relevant degree with experience, strong communication and presentation skills, driving ability, and knowledge of Job Corps; preferred qualification includes experience with disadvantaged youth.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social sciences, communication, or related field and two years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social sciences, communications, or related field; ability to drive and travel.

- Knowledge of Job Corps or similar training program.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills.
- Valid State of California driver’s license (as stated).
- Ability to relate to students and organize effectively.
