Job Summary
Outreach Advocate at Women Helping Women based in Cincinnati, OH, delivering direct crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. The role involves trauma-informed advocacy, safety planning, information and referrals, court accompaniment, facilitating support/educational groups, maintaining confidential client records, and building community partnerships. Requires a BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience, strong computer skills, and typically 1+ year in crisis intervention or advocacy; compensation is hourly for a full-time role, with benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health, Human Services, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, databases, and email
- Minimum of one year of experience in crisis intervention, advocacy, or direct services related to sexual assault and/or domestic violence
- Experience facilitating training and educational programs
- Demonstrated Experience in providing trauma-informed care to high-risk populations
- Experience conducting outreach and engagement within high-risk communities
