Job Summary
Provide ongoing, evidence-based, trauma- and recovery-focused outpatient therapy to minors and their families within Network180's Outpatient Clinic(s). Deliver developmentally appropriate services using Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Conduct assessments, evaluations, and diagnoses while adhering to professional ethics and standards of practice. Work in-office at 790 Fuller Ave NE Grand Rapids, Michigan, Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00am to 5:00pm with flexibility for evening shifts. Maintain a valid driver's license for job-related use.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology
- Licensure in the State of Michigan as a limited licensed master social worker, marriage and family therapist, OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within one (1) month of hire
- Specialized training and at least one year of experience in the examination, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of minors and their families
- Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
- Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis
- Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
- Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills
- Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
- Successful completion of a drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Fully licensed MSW, Professional Counselor, Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist
- Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
- CAADC certification through the Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals or able to obtain a development plan for the credential
- Knowledge of trauma-informed theories, principles, and practices (includes multi-faceted understanding of concepts such as community trauma, intergenerational and historical trauma, parallel processes, and universal precautions)
- Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
