Outpatient Therapist - Full-time & Contract options available

Job Summary
The Outpatient Therapist will provide direct mental health services to clients and families in various settings, including clinic and school-based environments. Responsibilities include diagnostic assessments, individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and developing treatment plans with clients and their families. The therapist will document all services in compliance with regulatory standards and coordinate care with other professionals. Required qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling and active licensure from the Arkansas Professional Board. Additional desired qualifications include experience in school-based settings and specialized training in trauma-focused therapies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field
- Licensed, in good standing, by Arkansas Professional Board as an LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LPE, LPE-I, PhD
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a school-based or community based behavioral health setting
- Experience working with at-risk youth
- Trauma Focused CBT certified or in progress
- Other specialized training/certification or in progress (i.e., play therapy, EMDR, etc.)
- Ability to be flexible with schedule
- Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record
Additional Requirements
- Ability to document accurately and professionally
- Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions
- Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, CPR & First Aid
- Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender
- Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability
- Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls
- Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
- Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items
- Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms.
- Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).
