Job Summary
Outpatient Therapist - Denver provides ongoing treatment through individual and group therapy sessions, delivering telehealth or in-person services. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, creating and updating treatment plans, monitoring and documenting care, completing service plans for caseloads, and collaborating with clinical, medical, and admissions staff to ensure client safety and satisfaction. Requires Master’s degree and licensure or candidate status (e.g., LPC, LSW, MFTC), DORA registration, and NPI; minimum 1+ year in addictions/behavioral health; familiar with evidence-based practices, HIPAA/42 CFR Part 2 compliance, EMR systems, and telehealth requirements. On-site Denver-based position with duties spanning individual and group therapy, drug testing (UAs) administration, documentation, and participation in a multidisciplinary team; strong ethics, communication, and cultural competency are essential, as are professional boundaries and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree required with current State license or candidate status (e.g. LPC, MFTC, LSW)
- LAC eligible
- DORA-registered required
- NPI (National Provider Identifier) required
- One plus year experience in an addictions and/or behavioral healthcare setting, residential treatment experience preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral medicine treatment delivery
- Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- Group facilitation skills
- Familiar with the 12 Step Program and the 12 Steps/12 Traditions
- State and federal licensure regulation knowledge
- Impeccable ethics and integrity
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbal and written
- Excellent listening skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Advanced computer literacy with EMR systems and AI tools
- Ability to take direction and make sound decisions
