Job Summary

Provide ongoing, evidence-based, trauma- and recovery-focused outpatient therapy to clients at Network180's Outpatient Clinic(s), with a specific focus on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Deliver developmentally appropriate care to adults while maintaining fidelity as a member of a DBT treatment team. Conduct assessments and utilize motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral techniques as part of comprehensive treatment plans. Work within a multicultural environment, bridging language and cultural barriers to ensure diverse communities receive appropriate services. This role involves a standard 40-hour schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with no weekends, on-call, or holiday requirements. The position is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and offers a competitive hourly compensation range of $27.49 to $36.44.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology
  • Licensure in the State of Michigan as a limited licensed master social worker, marriage and family therapist, OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within one (1) month of hire
  • At least one year of experience providing individual and/or group DBT therapy to adults
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use
  • Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis
  • Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, and data entry skills
  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and concisely in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and skills and capabilities of bridging language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities
  • Successful completion of a drug screen
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Desired Qualifications

  • Fully licensed MSW, Professional Counselor, Psychologist, or Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Training in and experience with providing Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • CAADC certification through the Michigan Certificate Board for Addiction Professionals or able to obtain a development plan for the credential
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed theories, principles, and practices (includes multi-faceted understanding of concepts such as community trauma, intergenerational and historical trauma, parallel processes, and universal precautions)
  • For DBT therapists, experience providing DBT to fidelity as a member of a DBT treatment team
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
