Job Summary
Outpatient Scheduling Representative: responsible for financially clearing outpatient referrals by validating orders, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations when needed, pre-registering patients, scheduling procedures/visits, and communicating financial responsibility to patients while maintaining accurate patient charts. Roles include using EMR tools, meeting productivity standards, and contributing to upfront collections; Lead role adds supervision, QA audits, staff scheduling, hiring input, and process improvements in the scheduling team.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate/GED or 2-5 years healthcare experience in lieu of education requirement
- Six months or more of progressive work experience
