Job Summary
Outpatient RN CAP 1 — an entry-level Registered Nurse position within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) focused on delivering and coordinating high-quality hemodialysis care for an assigned patient group. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis around the dialysis treatment, planning and adjusting care plans, patient/family education, supervision and collaboration with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, medication administration, emergency response, and contributing to quality improvement. Requires completion of CAP requirements to advance, with supervision from a Clinical Educator/Preceptor and in collaboration with the health care team. Travel to training sites or other facilities may be required. Education and licensure: graduate of an accredited nursing program, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and compliance with state practice requirements. Experience: entry level for RNs with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing; chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
