Job Summary
Conduct full intakes, reconcile medications, and administer vaccinations, injections, and phlebotomy in a gastroenterology outpatient clinic. Deliver patient education and therapeutic care while making independent clinical decisions based on nursing knowledge. Ensure efficiency in care delivery by determining immediate priorities and collaborating with the team to achieve maximum productivity. Provide direction and mentorship to others as a resource and preceptor. Requires a BSN (or ADN with completion within five years), Virginia RN licensure, and BLS certification. No prior clinical experience required; one to two years in gastroenterology is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience
- BLS from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in gastroenterology
