Job Summary
Outpatient RN responsible for assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of care for assigned patients undergoing hemodialysis; provides education to patients/families, coordinates with RNs/LPNs/PCTs, administers prescribed medications, participates in quality improvement, and supports transplant/treatment modality education within Fresenius Kidney Care policies; requires RN licensure, CPR/BLS, and prior nephrology or hemodialysis exposure; includes potential travel to training sites or other facilities and supervision of ancillary staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience
- Minimum 9 months experience as an RN
- Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as an RN
