Job Summary
Outpatient RN CAP 1 in a New Brighton clinic providing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for hemodialysis patients; collaborates with direct care staff (RNs, LVN/LPNs, PCTs), administers medications, initiates emergency responses, directs education for patients and families, and contributes to quality improvement as part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. On-site at the New Brighton, MN clinic with occasional float to nearby clinic; on-the-job training provided; eligibility for CAP advancement; hours include M/W/F with potential travel to training sites or other facilities; high emphasis on nursing assessment, care planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 9 months experience as a RN
- Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
