Job Summary
Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) in an entry-level CAP role responsible for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis. Works under supervision with potential delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians; participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team; administers medications, initiates emergency responses, coordinates patient education, ensures proper lab handling, and supports CAP requirements for advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred
