Job Summary
Outpatient RN CAP1 in Fresenius Medical Care’s nephrology/ dialysis network. Provides clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with potential delegation to direct care staff. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to educate patients and families, administer medications, initiate emergency responses, and participate in CAP requirements to advance. Works under supervision with a clinical educator/preceptor and may lead/coordinate care as part of the patient care team in a busy dialysis facility.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience (preferred)
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
