Job Summary
Outpatient RN CAP1 in Fresenius Kidney Care; provides assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients; may delegate appropriate tasks to direct patient care staff; delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy, administers medications as prescribed, and participates in staff training and orientation; collaborates with the Interdisciplinary Team; educates patients/families on treatment options and plan of care; contributes to quality improvement and facility operations; may travel to training sites or other facilities as needed; role supports CAP requirements to advance and rearms with supervision from the Supervisor or Clinical Educator.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state RN licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet practice requirements in the state employed
- Minimum 9 months RN experience
- Minimum 3 months chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a RN
