Job Summary
Outpatient RN CAP 1 providing nephrology patient care with on-the-job training, performing hemodialysis-related duties, education for patients and families, medication administration, emergency response, and collaboration with the care team to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities include data collection during hemodialysis, adjusting care plans as needed, staff training and orientation, collaboration with RNs/LVNs/PCTs, and ensuring proper lab processing and documentation in the medical record; requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and adherence to program and regulatory requirements. The role is based in Oshkosh, WI and involves day-to-day clinic duties, potential travel for training sites, and the possibility of supervision of patient care technicians and other nursing staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current state licensure
- Current CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet practice requirements in the state in which employed
- Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as an RN
- Minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as an RN
- Fresenius policy adherence
- Basic computer and documentation skills
