Job Summary
Outpatient Registered Nurse role within Fresenius Kidney Care's CAP program. Provides clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients with duties spanning assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, including potential delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians. Participates in teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities as part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. Responsibilities are guided by policy, standards of nursing practice, and relevant regulations. Requires graduate nursing education, current state licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and the ability to perform the essential functions described (including potential travel to training sites and the physical demands of patient care). Entry-level for nephrology nursing with a pathway to CAP advancement; heavy emphasis on direct patient care, coordination, education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary team. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Minimum 9 months experience as a RN
- Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience (preferred)
