Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Outpatient RN CAP 1 position providing clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Works within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team to coordinate care, may delegate tasks to direct patient care staff (RNs, LVN/LPNs, Patient Care Technicians), participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement, and supports education for patients and families. Key duties include ongoing data collection and analysis during hemodialysis, adjusting treatment plans as needed, patient education, delivering safe hemodialysis therapy, administering prescribed medications, initiating emergency responses, aiding in staff training/orientation, ensuring proper laboratory procedures, documenting outcomes, and communicating with the Interdisciplinary Team. Requires completion of CAP requirements to advance and adherence to Fresenius Kidney Care policies and nursing standards; work may involve travel to training sites or other facilities; heavy lifting and physical demands are noted as part of the role; dedicated to equal opportunity employment and patient care excellence.
