Job Summary
Outpatient RN provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with potential delegation to direct care staff (RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians). The role supports education for patients and families, delivers hemodialysis therapy, administers medications, participates in staff training, and contributes to quality improvement within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, while adhering to Fresenius Kidney Care policies and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
