Job Summary
Assess, plan, and monitor patients undergoing hemodialysis, documenting data pre-, during-, and post-treatment while adjusting care plans as needed. Administer medications per protocol, collect and ship laboratory specimens, and educate patients and families on treatment options and transplant modalities. Direct patient care staff, initiate emergency responses, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update assessment outcomes. Participate in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities to enhance facility operations. Requires 9 months RN experience and 3 months hemodialysis experience; rotating shifts available Monday through Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as a RN
- Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. as high as 5 feet
- Must be able to move machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs.
- Must be able to bend over
- Must be available for rotating shifts - every other Saturday
- Must be available for MWF shifts 5:00am – 1:45pm, 1:15pm – 10:25pm
- Must be available for TTS shift 5:00am – 5pm
- Must be able to travel to training sites or other facilities
- Must be able to provide essential functions of this position in other locations

- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
