Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Job Summary
Outpatient RN provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients in a dialysis setting. The role involves ongoing patient data collection during hemodialysis, documentation, adjustments to treatment plans, patient/family education, supervision or collaboration with PCTs/LPNs/LVNs, administration of medications, emergency response, and participation in quality improvement activities and CAP advancement. The position requires nursing licensure in the applicable state, graduation from an accredited nursing program, CPR/BLS certification, and a minimum of RN experience with nephrology/hemodialysis exposure preferred. The work includes potential travel to training sites or other facilities and rotating shifts with some weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
- Minimum 9 months experience as a RN
- Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
- Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as a RN
- Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
