Job Summary
Outpatient Registered Nurse – CAP entry level role providing and coordinating clinically competent care for an assigned patient group under the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) team. Responsibilities include data collection and analysis around hemodialysis treatment, planning/intervention/evaluation of care, education for patients and families, delivering safe hemodialysis therapy, medication administration, and participation in quality improvement. Requires nursing degree from an accredited program, current state RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification; experience in nephrology/hemodialysis preferred but entry level available. Performs duties under supervision with potential for leadership/mentorship roles and collaboration with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and PCTs; travel to training sites may be required. Physical requirements include lifting, standing, and potential exposure to infectious materials. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
