Job Summary
Outpatient RN CAP 1 entry-level position providing clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients in a nephrology/hemodialysis setting. Responsibilities include collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis, documenting in the medical record, adjusting treatment plans as indicated, coordinating care with RNs/LPNs/PCTs, administering prescribed medications, initiating emergency response measures, educating patients/families, ensuring proper lab collection/shipping, updating care plans in collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team, and participating in staff training and quality-improvement activities. Candidates must graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, hold current state licensure, and have CPR/BLS certification; the role is entry-level with potential for CAP advancement and leadership duties within the dialysis care team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
- Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred)
