Job Summary

Collect and analyze patient data pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis treatment to adjust treatment plans and document in medical records. Assess learning needs for patients and families to provide initial and ongoing education. Direct and provide daily delivery of safe hemodialysis therapy while administering medications as prescribed. Assist with emergency response measures and ensure correct laboratory collection, processing, and shipping procedures. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update nursing assessments and identify expected outcomes. Serve as a resource for the health care team and participate in staff training and orientation of new staff. Perform all duties in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy and standards of nursing practice.

Required Qualifications

Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse
Must have a minimum of 9 months experience as a RN
Must have a minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as a RN
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current appropriate state licensure
Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
Must be able to lift chemical and water solutions of up to 30 lbs as high as 5 feet
Must be able to bend over
Must be able to move, with assistance, machines and equipment of up to 200 lbs
